Ananda Lowe is a Black and multiracial writer living in Somerville, MA.  She writes essays, memoir, and nonfiction, and is co-author of The Doula Guide to Birth: Secrets Every Pregnant Woman Should Know (Penguin Random House).  Ananda is a graduate of the Memoir Incubator at GrubStreet writing school, the recipient of two grants for writers, and a Pushcart Prize nominee.  She has appeared on FOX Television, NPR and PBS.
